Modesty

Who knew it would be so hard to find modest clothes? We have searched almost every store around and just about found nothing.
You can't just wear anything.

So what did we do? My sister and I went to www.gap.com and ordered a bunch of small and mediums of the "Favorite Tee" (To make sure we got the right sizes) in the colors that I wanted, then I can return what doesn't work. Anyways....Back on track. :)

This is gonna be for the girls...

Modesty is not an option. It's a command.

"19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, 20 for you were bought with a price. So glorify God in your body."

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

"likewise also that women should adorn themselves in respectable apparel, with modesty and self-control, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or costly attire, 10 but with what is proper for women who profess godliness--with good works."

1 Timothy 2:9-10

"Do not let your adorning be external--the braiding of hair and the putting on of gold jewelry, or the clothing you wear--4 but let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious."

1 Peter 3:3-4

"Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgement"

John 7:24

"So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God"

1 Corinthians 10:31

So don't worry whether you are up to date with the latest fashions, or have the cutest clothes, or fit in with whatever everyone else is wearing.

Being modest is MUCH more pleasing in the sight of God than wearing what shows off your figure.
I admit it's hard. The style these days is skin tight, low necklines, sheer and short shorts.
But if being modest means shopping every store around (and I mean EVERY) till you find what works. I'm all for it! :)
Not to say that you can't wear clothes that are cute, or that are fashionable. Just remember that your duty is to obey God.

Thank God for what you have.

Trust God for what you need.
