Strawberries

So back in the month of strawberry picking we got a ton of strawberries that my mom and I cleaned. I think the best part about picking strawberries (besides eating them) is seeing the ones with weird shapes.

To some cleaning and cutting up strawberries may seem like a boring or unwanted job. But as I sat there at the kitchen table cutting up strawberries all I could think was, "How can I honor God even in this little task?"
No, I wasn't out giving food to the hungry. I wasn't out sharing the gospel. I wasn't translating the Bible into a different language. And I wasn't teaching Sunday school. Are these good and God honoring things? Yes! Should we do them? Absolutely.
(Obviously God isn't calling everyone to Africa, or to teach Sunday school or whatever it may be. Everyone has something different that the Lord has given them to do)
But just because we aren't out there doing these "big things" for Christ doesn't mean that you can't honor God.
Now this is just my opinion and you may agree with me and you may not. But I think that in whatever it is you are doing, if you do it with the right attitude and a glad a cheerful heart, even that honors the Lord.

Philippians 2:12-16
Colossians 3:17
1 Corinthians 10:31

Here are just a few verses to think about.
I'm not going to put them up, I want you to use your own Bible, your own translation and think about them for yourself. :)

Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
Colossians 3:2-3
